MIUI 11 Brings Dynamic Video Wallpaper Feature First of all, let’s talk about the design refresh Xiaomi made in MIUI 11. Firstly, MIUI 11 brings Dynamic Lock Screen which allows users to apply texts as their wallpaper and Xiaomi says it’s ‘Always On for the Always-On Generation.’ Next up, the Chinese company has made some changes to Notification Light, and in MIUI 11, the entire lock screen breathes according to the notification received from any particular app. Alternatively, Xiaomi will allow users to set notification colours for each app individually. Lastly, Xiaomi has made a made change to the Wallpapers section in MIUI 11. The forthcoming MIUI version supports Dynamic Video Wallpapers, meaning users can now set video recordings as their wallpapers. MIUI 11 Brings Special Mi Work Features After the design, the next big change Xiaomi has made to MIUI is to the work section. MIUI 11 comes with a new section called Mi Work which brings several new features to the File Manager and Mi Tasks apps. As you might be already aware of, MIUI 11 comes with an in-built File Manager app; The File Manager app will now display all the files in Thumbnail format which comes in very handy. Also, it removes the hassle of downloading separate apps for opening word or pdf files as Xiaomi has integrated all these features to the File Manager. Also, MIUI Notes app has received a lot of new features, including the much-requested To-Do feature. MIUI users can now take Universal Entry into To-Do List right from the home screen itself. And the Tasks app can now take voice tasks as well. Lastly, Xiaomi has added Floating Calculator to the entire UI of MIUI 11. Step Tracker Comes to MIUI 11 Xiaomi even announced that the MIUI 11 would have Step Tracking feature built right into the smartphone and there’s no requirement of having a separate fitness tracker to track your daily steps. Other MIUI features include MIUI Quick Replies while gaming; This feature actually comes in really handy as a pop-up will appear on the left side of the screen while playing a game. There are several other minor features introduced with the MIUI 11 like new sounds for unlocking the screen, new charging animation and so on. Poco F1, Redmi K20 Will Receive the Update Starting Next Week Xiaomi also confirmed that MIUI 11 would start rolling out to the first batch of devices starting today, which is impressive to hear. During the first phase of the rollout which will start on October 22, Xiaomi phones like Poco F1, Redmi K20, Redmi Y3, Redmi 7, Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7s and Redmi Note 7 Pro will receive the update. In the second phase (November 4-12), smartphones like Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi 6, Redmi 6 Pro, Redmi 6A, Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 Pro, Redmi 5, Redmi 5A, Redmi Note 4, Redmi Y1, Redmi Y1 Lite, Redmi Y2, Redmi 4, Mi Mix and Mi Max will get the update. In the third phase (November 13-29), the Redmi Note 6 Pro, Redmi 7A, Redmi 8, Redmi 8A and Redmi Note 8 will receive the MIUI 11 update. And in the fourth phase (December 18-26), the newly launched Redmi Note 8 Pro will get the update.
