Moto G4 Plus Android 8.1 Oreo Update for Indian Users Delayed 2018 was a tough year for Motorola as the company failed to deliver what users asked for. Motorola failed in two aspects last year- poor software updates and not-so-impressive smartphones. The only Motorola smartphone which impressed the audience is the Motorola One Power and the company is also supporting it with quick software updates. Talking about the Moto G4 Plus, the phone was announced back in 2016. And the Android 8.1 Oreo update to the Moto G4 Plus is the third major one. After rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update, Motorola sort of stated that it will be the final update for the smartphone as it was not included in the Android Oreo list of smartphones. This irked many G4 Plus users and they’ve raised voice against the company. After listening to the users, Motorola finally accepted to rollout the Oreo update to Moto G4 Plus as the final major one. But it did not give any estimated time of rollout. Nevertheless, it’s finally here for the G4 Plus users in the US and Indian consumers might get the update in the coming weeks. Moto Z3 Play Gets Android 9 Pie Update The Moto Z3 Play, which never reached the Indian market is now receiving a major update in the form of Android 9 Pie. The phone was launched with Android 8.1 Oreo on board. The One Power became the first Motorola phone to get the Android 9 Pie update last year followed by the Android One edition of the Moto X4. And now, the Moto Z3 Play is picking up the much-awaited Android Pie update in the United States. Eight Motorola Smartphones to Get Android 9 Pie Update Last year, Motorola confirmed that it would be releasing Android 9 Pie update to eight of its smartphones including the Moto Z3, Moto Z3 Play, Moto Z2 Force, Moto Z2 Play, Moto G6 Plus, Moto G6, Moto G6 Play and Moto X4. The Moto X4 in the US already received the update last month, but there’s no information regarding the Indian variant of Moto X4.
