OnePlus Pad could soon launch in India. OnePlus is conducting the Cloud 11 launch event in New Delhi on Feb 7, 2023. Bharti owned satellite broadband company, OneWeb, will help with providing network connectivity in remote parts of the country where no terrestrial operator is providing services. Three new products were unveiled by the Chinese manufacturer Oppo at its technology event, Oppo Inno Day 2022, on Wednesday. Oppo, one of the largest Chinese smartphone and electronics manufacturers, is soon expected to launch the Reno8 series in India. The company just announced that the Reno8 series would come with the 6nm neural processing unit (NPU) MariSilicon X. This 6nm NPU will take image processing to the next level, said Oppo. Oppo says its engineers have developed algorithms which will render accurate Indian skin tone and even be able to create Bokeh Flare Portrait videos....

Orange Poland has launched a 2 Gbps fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) service. With Fiber Optic Pro 2.0 internet option, Orange wants to meet consumer needs. As a result, the total internet speed achieved on multiple devices is up to 2 Gbps. The maximum speed achieved on one device is up to 1 Gbps. The consumer will not have to pay a subscription fee for this service for the first two months of using the new fiber option 2....

Dish TV Wins Legal Battle Against Prasar Bharti in Delhi HC The plaintiff that is Dish TV had filed the suit for permanent injunction restraining the defendant from infringing the trademark “Dish TV”. Dish TV stated that the defendant, i.e. Prasar Bharti, was passing along its services as of Dish TV and was using the name or mark “Free Dish” as ancillary relief. Dish TV’s legal counsel then argued that the plaintiff first appropriated the word “Dish” and it continues to remain a significant component of its trademark....

Paytm, a nationwide renowned payments app, is now charging a convenience fee from the users when they recharge with any prepaid plan from its platform. A convenience fee means that the total cost of the plan would increase. The company will be charging a convenience fee only with the prepaid plans that cost Rs 100 or more. Further, the recharges for which the users are paying through online methods such as UPI and debit or credit card would attract a convenience fee....
