Reliance Jio, India’s number one telecom operator, has launched two new prepaid plans with a Disney+ Hotstar Premium subscription. Right now, all the plans offered by the private telecom operators with the Disney+ Hotstar subscription-only bring the ‘mobile’ plan of the over-the-top (OTT) platform. But now, users will have an option to get the Disney+ Hotstar Premium subscription with their prepaid plans from Jio. The two new plans which have just launched will come for Rs 1499 and Rs 4199....

The Satcom Industry Association (SIA), India, has asked the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) to separate the frequencies in the 28 GHz band for satcom operations. The 28 GHz band includes bandwidth in the 27.5 GHz to 29.5 GHz range. According to an ET Telecom report, SIA has urged DoT to create a robust regulatory framework for the 28 MHz bandwidth. This is because SIA believes 5G would hurt the satcom investments made by both the foreign and local companies....

India saw an overall decline in smartphone shipments during Q4 of 2022. Q4 is considered a festive quarter due to Diwali, Christmas, and New Year, which brings a lot of discounts and offers for customers. Thus, smartphone shipments during the quarter always go up only.
