As Trai implements the zero Interconnect Usage Charges (IUC) regime, Reliance Jio removed the six paise per-minute charges on off-net calls. Since October 2019, Reliance Jio has been charging its user six paise for every one minute of voice calls made to other networks. And a majority of its unlimited combo prepaid plans had a FUP limit for non-Jio calls. For example, Jio’s prepaid plans with 28 days validity offered 1,000 minutes of non-Jio calls, whereas the plans with 84 days validity offered 3,000 minutes of non-Jio calling for the entire validity period....

Reliance Jio is known for its affordable tariff plans in the industry. Besides the competitive short-term plans, the telco also has a wide range of long-term prepaid plans. The long-term offerings from Reliance Jio start at Rs 1,299 and they go all the way up to Rs 2,599. Some of Jio’s annual plans, such as Rs 2,121 and Rs 1,299, come with 336 days validity, while some of them come with benefits for 365 days....

The High Court (HC) of Punjab and Haryana has heard the petition filed by Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) for action against all the parties involved in damaging Jio’s properties. Hughes Communications India Private Limited (HCI) has announced the launch of satellite broadband services for the Indian market. It is a commercial launch of High-Throughput Satellite (HTS) broadband service, a first for India. In the September quarter, shipments of Smart TVs from Indian brands increased at the quickest rate year over year, accounting for 22% of total shipments. Elon Musk’s flagship company SpaceX launched an additional 53 Starlink satellites from Pad 40 of Cape Canaveral Space Force Station today at 7.19 am EST. The 230-foot Falcon 9 rocket successfully vaulted off the pad and delivered the satellites to the low-Earth orbit in about 15 minutes. Weather stood favourable for the launch.
