Samsung Galaxy A90 to be Rebranded as R-Series Smartphone According to OnLeaks, Samsung is slated to launch a new R-series of smartphones. Previously, the SM-A90x which was expected to launch as the Samsung Galaxy A90, but it is likely that Samsung might debut a new smartphone in the R-series. In this tweet, however, OnLeaks has not yet revealed the actual name of the smartphone. Other additional information which OnLeaks has disclosed in its tweet indicates that there are two R-series of smartphones in the making currently. The tweet also remarks that both of these phones will come with massive displays and triple rear camera setup. One of these smartphones has also been teased to come with 5G connectivity, and the other one will come with a unique camera feature. Another tipster, Ice Universe has also revealed some information about the Samsung Galaxy A90, thus reaffirming the tweet by OnLeaks. Ice Universe has also revealed that one of the devices will come with 5G connectivity, and the smartphone will also feature the 45W fast charging feature as well. More Information About Samsung R-Series According to the GeekBench listing available about the Samsung smartphone, the new phone will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC. Along with this, the phone will also feature 6GB of RAM. The Snapdragon 675 comes with eight Kryo 460 CPU cores and Adreno 612 GPU. Currently, the primary sources that we have about the upcoming Samsung R series of smartphones include Ice Universe, GeekBench and OnLeaks only. We are yet to hear some more information about the R-series from official sources or otherwise. However, going by the leaks which point towards a massive display, we can expect the R-series of smartphones to come with more than 6.5-inches of display real estate. The triple rear camera set up on the device might include cameras with conventional FoV, one ultrawide camera, and a telephoto camera. The smartphone would have a large battery pack, a high-resolution front-facing camera, an in-display fingerprint sensor, Android 9 Pie with Samsung’s own One UI customisations along with Samsung’s supposedly innovative design.
