The Redmi Note 8 is the current best sub-Rs 10,000 smartphone out there. As for the pricing, the 3GB+32GB model can be picked up via offline stores for Rs 9,799. Xiaomi is yet to start selling the 4GB and 6GB RAM models of the Redmi Note 8 via offline stores. Whenever the two models reach the offline stores, the prices will be tad higher compared to those of online prices. For the unaware, the Redmi Note 8 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage is priced at Rs 9,999 only, followed by the 6GB+128GB model at Rs 12,999. It has a 6.3-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with a teardrop notch on top and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Both the front and rear panels are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 technology. Under the hood, the Redmi Note 8 has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset, paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There’s a dedicated microSD card slot as well for storage expansion up to 512GB. As for the cameras, we get a primary 48MP Samsung GM1 lens, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, the Redmi Note 8 has an 8MP selfie camera. Out of the box, the Redmi Note 8 runs Android 9 Pie-based MIUI 10, but it’s now picking MIUI 11 update, which is also based on Android 9 Pie itself.
