Redmi K20 Pro Exclusive Edition: What to Expect? Besides the name and chipset, we don’t have any information related to the Redmi K20 Pro Exclusive Edition. We’re expecting the phone to be identical to the original Redmi K20 Pro that was launched earlier this year with the processor being upgraded to the latest one. Xiaomi may launch a 12GB RAM version of the Redmi K20 Pro Exclusive Edition to take on the affordable gaming phones out there in China like Asus ROG Phone 2 and BlackShark 2 Pro. To recall, Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset a few weeks with minor improvements to clock speed and GPU. According to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 855 Plus will offer 4.2% better CPU performance and the GPU clock speed has been pushed by 15%. That said, both the chipsets feature the same Adreno 640 GPU inside, but their clock speeds differ. Redmi K20 Series Doing Well in the Indian Market When the Redmi K20 series reached India, several fans were disappointed with the pricing of the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro. Even after three months of launch, the Redmi K20 Pro is still the cheapest phone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset in the country and it will remain the same going forward as well. The Redmi K20, in particular, received all the backlash because of the pricing as consumers expected the phone to retail for less than Rs 20,000. However, that did not happen and the phone was made available for over Rs 20,000. Earlier this week, Xiaomi officials on Twitter confirmed that the Redmi K20 series is doing really good in India in terms of sales and the negative talk around the price did not affect the overall sales at all. Right now, it’s unknown whether Xiaomi is bringing the Redmi K20 Pro Exclusive Edition to the Indian market, but to counter the OnePlus 7T, the Chinese company may launch it in the sub-continent. Also, the Poco F2 is also rumoured to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus, so it will be interesting to see how Xiaomi plans to launch both these phones in the country.
